Located in Hamilton, Ontario. We are experienced and certified arborists serving Hamilton, Burlington, Grimsby, Brantford, Cambridge, Haldimand, and the surrounding areas. We are a fully insured and licensed company.
Bowman Tree Service started in 2016 on a part time basis while the owner Brandyn was working for other tree companies in order to perfect his craft. Brandyn is also an honours graduate of the Humber College Arborist Apprenticeship program. Brandyn officially started his own company on a full time basis in the spring of 2018 and has not looked back since.
Bowman Tree Service can do any job, big or small. We are a small company but where we lack in size, we make up for with talented arborists and hard work. When we start a job we finish it, leaving the property in better shape than when we started. Emphasis on safety every second we are on the job while getting the work done right.
Services
Tree Removal
Removal of a tree can be necessary if a tree is dead, dying and/or diseased. Also for aesthetic reasons, as an arborist we try to avoid removing healthy trees if possible but we understand that there are many reasons for a homeowner to want it gone, we fully respect it.
Tree Pruning and Shrub Pruning
Elevation, Deadwood, Property Clearance and Aesthetic reasons for trimming parts of a tree that we offer to do for you. We also help shape bushes and hedges of any size. With our proper pruning techniques the tree will look magnificent and healthy.
Stump Removal
Removal of a stump to allow new grass to grow in its spot, create a garden or even plant a new juvenile tree near the old stump.
Emergency Services
Wind storms, ice storms, heavy rain, snow storms are all inevitable. They all cause physical stress towards a tree, unfortunately sometimes the tree has enough, ends up with some broken branches or an entire tree falls. We are here 24 hours a day 7 days a week to answer your call to help clean up the mess. Don’t hesitate to call, as cleaning this up sometimes can be very risky to inexperienced chainsaw users.
Planting
Planting a single tree or multiple trees of any size to replace old ones or just for a new look in your yard.
We also plant privacy hedges, usually they start small but with proper pruning and planting they can grow into something gorgeous
Arborist Reports
Certified arborists are required to file these reports for construction, removal of a tree, and root excavation. Arborist reports contain information about problems that the tree has and provides recommendations about possible solutions to these problems, such as fertilization, pest control, or pruning and removal.
Cabling & Bracing
Can be required to go along with tree pruning, it helps the tree maintain proper growth and/or to create a safer environment when the limb is not supported by the tree like it should be.
Woodchip Dropoff
As a part of the job we accumulate hundreds of yards of woodchips every season, we are always looking for places to dump locally, depending your whereabouts we would charge you a fee for distance travelled.

He returned my call immediately, set up an appointment, gave a competitive price with some options (we had multiple Ash trees killed by the Ash borer parasite). How much will the tree service cost?
There are many factors to consider when doing any kind of tree work, we will assess what you want done to your property to determine such
How will we get our free estimate?
Give us a phone call or email, we will set up an appointment to review the work required. You don’t need to be home for the estimate but would certainly love it if you were so we can meet face to face and you can provide clarification.
How long after we get our estimate will you do our tree work?
It varies, the farther into the summer season we get the longer you may have to wait, but give us a call. We will be happy to provide you with a rough timeline through there.
Are you insured if something were to go wrong?
We are fortunate to have a great team of experienced arborists at Bowman Tree Service but in theory we are covered for $2,000,000 in liability and all of our employees are covered through WSIB Ontario.
Do we have to pay our municipality money on top of what you are charging us for a removal?
Every municipality has different regulations regarding tree permits, we will do all of the leg work to determine whether or not a permit is needed along with the extra cost required to be paid towards the municipality.
